Technical Details

When the rain doesn’t stop, this tyre will.

We can't control the weather, but we can keep you in control. The PremiumContact™ 6 "Safety Silica Compound" ensures constant grip on wet and dry roads meaning you can rely on us to stop... even if the rain doesn’t.

When your journey lasts longer, this tyre makes it feel shorter.

Our enhanced contact surface and pattern stiffness not only lower the interior noise but improve mileage and comfort. We call this comfort optimised performance footprint. So you can simply enjoy your journey for as long as you want to.

When life moves fast, this tyre keeps you in control.

The intelligent macroblock design provides maximum control and cornering stability even at higher speeds, improves grip performance for sporty driving and transmits more power from your car to the asphalt. That means simply: you’re in control.

Technologies

ContiSeal™ is a technology developed by Continental designed to seal a damaged tyre tread. In case of penetration by foreign objects such as nails, there is no need for immediate roadside tyre changes, and holes remain sealed even if the puncturing object becomes dislodged. ContiSeal™ is a sticky, viscous sealant layer. It is applied to the inside of the tyre in the tread area. ContiSeal™ seals 80% of all tyre punctures and therefore reduces the risk of flat tyres. ContiSeal™ tyres are marked clearly with a symbol on the sidewall and are compatible with all commonly available rims.

Tire with ContiSeal technology

ContiSilent™ is a tyre noise-reducing technology developed by Continental. It is designed to reduce interior noise on all road surfaces. ContiSilent™ tyres are equipped with an inner tyre absorber, a polyurethane foam, attached to the inner surface of the tread area with an adhesive. Regardless of the temperature, the structure of the foam stays intact. ContiSilent™ helps reduce interior vehicle noise up to 9 dB(A), depending on the type of vehicle, its speed and the road surface.

The SSR system is a runflat technology developed by Continental especially for low section tyres, which still keeps the tyres compatible with all standard rims. The SSR principle is based on a self-supporting reinforced sidewall. In case of a puncture, this prevents the sidewall from being crushed between the rim and the road, and the tyre from slipping off the rim, which makes a spare tyre obsolete. Not having to carry a spare tyre means a reduction in weight, which improves fuel efficiency. It also adds up to 80 litres of free space in the boot. Fitting on four positions is highly recommended, if not yet mandatory by law and a tyre repair is not allowed.
