Precision, Performance, Partnership
We are proud to be an official partner of the Tour de France – the world’s most iconic cycling race, held annually in France since 1903. This global stage offers the perfect high-performance environment to showcase Continental’s premium tyre technology in action.
Several UCI World Tour teams rely on handmade Continental bicycle tyres, like the Grand Prix 5000 S TR, and the Grand Prix 5000 TT TR, crafted in Korbach, Germany. Renowned for their exceptional grip, durability, and precision, these tyres deliver top performance even in the most demanding race conditions.
But it’s not just the cyclists benefiting from our expertise. Over 70 official Tour vehicles are equipped with specially branded EcoContact 6, PremiumContact 7, and – for the second consecutive year – the UltraContact NXT tyres, which are made with a share of up to 65% recycled & renewable materials. Designed at Continental's global headquarters in Hanover, Germany, these tyres are manufactured in Sarreguemines, France and Lousado, Portugal.
Fitted ahead of the race season at the Tour’s official garage in Évry, near Paris, these tyres tackle every terrain – from sudden weather shifts to rough road surfaces and steep alpine passes. They empower the official drivers to navigate each stage with total confidence, keeping the race moving safely while millions of fans cheer from the roadside.
Fast facts

Celebrating Champions: Continental on the Podium
As a Main Partner and official Stage Winner Presenter of the Tour de France, Continental plays a unique role in honoring cycling excellence. At the end of each stage, the winner is awarded a custom Continental medal on the podium – a powerful symbol of achievement that many pro cyclists describe as a career-defining moment they’ll never forget.

Supporting Champions – Today and Tomorrow: Young Cadets Program
Continental is also investing in the future of cycling. Through its support of the Young Cadets initiative, the company helps inspire the next generation of riders. At every stage, eight local youth cyclists get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the race from the inside: riding the first and last 30 kilometers of the day’s route just hours before the pros. Outfitted with Continental tyres and cycling gear, these young talents gain a unique perspective on professional racing – and a powerful boost to their passion for the sport. By engaging at every level of the Tour – from world-class athletes to rising stars – Continental helps shape the spirit of cycling for today and tomorrow.

Winning at Every Stage: World-Class Athlete and Global Continental Ambassador, Tadej Pogačar
Shaping the future of cycling today and tomorrow means collaborating with the best in the world to ensure that performance, innovation, safety and reliability are driven by insights from the top experts. That's why Continental has entered into a long-term partnership with Tour de France champion winner Tadej Pogačar (26). Continental is proud to be not only the partner of his UCI WorldTour team, UAE Team Emirates, but also of Tadej himself. As a professional cyclist, he knows how crucial it is to trust your tyres. At just 26, Tadej Pogačar is considered one of the best cyclists in the world. But Pogačar‘s impact goes far beyond competition. Through his foundation and the “Pogi Team” development squad, he’s dedicated to nurturing young cycling talent in Slovenia and beyond. The long-term partnership between Tadej Pogačar and Continental goes beyond sport - it’s a shared commitment to safety, performance and mutual respect on the roads.

A Legendary Race Across Changing Landscapes
The Tour de France route changes every year, but its legendary character stays the same. With epic climbs like Alpe d’Huez, Mont Ventoux, Tourmalet, and Col du Galibier, and the grand finale on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, the race remains a true test of endurance across some of the world’s most iconic landscapes.
While the Tour often ventures beyond France’s borders – like the Grand Départ in Brussels (2019), the start in Spain’s Basque Country (2023) or the Grand Départ in Florence (2024) – the 2025 edition will remain entirely within France, something that hasn’t happened since 2020.

The 2025 Tour de France will cover 11 regions and 34 departments, featuring a total of 21 stages:
· 7 flat stages
· 6 hilly stages
· 6 mountain stages – including five summit finishes at Hautacam, Luchon-Superbagnères, Mont Ventoux, Courchevel Col de la Loze, and La Plagne Tarentaise
· 2 individual time trials
· And 2 rest days to recover from the intense competition.
From coastal roads to towering alpine passes, the route of the Tour may change – but its spirit of adventure, challenge, and glory remains constant.

“I've raced on Continental tyres for some of the biggest victories of my career. Their tyres have been a reliable part of my equipment for the past few years. You can see that they put focus on innovation, safety, and performance and as riders that's exactly what we want to see from our material sponsors.”

As a more recent addition to our portfolio, the AERO 111 offers exceptional aerodynamic performance.
