Whoever you take on a journey:

Quick Facts

  • Excellent braking performance
  • Outstanding fuel efficiency
  • Comfortable ride

For long-distance coach journeys, reliability and efficiency are essential. The Conti Coach HA3 delivers maximum safety and reduced rolling resistance – even under demanding conditions. A tyre so safe, its wet performance has been labelled with the best EU grade “A”, delivering safety to society.

Coach HA3

Technical details

Excellent braking performance

  • Wet braking over tread lifetime with full-depth 3D siping technology
  • Wet optimised compound for better performance in the wet
  • 3D interlocking sipes maintain pattern stiffness for maximum braking effect
  • M+S capability for all weather conditions

Outstanding fuel efficiency

  • Improved tread void ratio and Fuel Saving Edge without compromising wet performance
  • Optimised “belt to tread” width ratio, providing less deflection on the tread area

EU Tyre Label

1. Wet grip

The wet grip rating indicates how well the tyre will perform in wet conditions, with performance graded from class A down to E. A high grade means short braking distances on wet roads.

2. Fuel efficiency

Reduced rolling resistance saves fuel and cuts CO2 emissions. Class A tyres deliver the best fuel efficiency, with fuel consumption increasing all the way down to class E.

3. Noise level

This is the external rolling noise generated by the tyre, measured in decibels. The label shows the noise level rated in classes from A down to C.

Additional pictograms for snow and icy conditions

In addition to these three label values, there are also pictograms − if applicable − relating to performance in severe snow conditions (3PMSF) and/or grip in icy conditions (the latter applies to passenger car tyres only).

With the EU label generator, you can access the specific label values for your Continental tyres.

Regrooving – The smart approach to prolonging the life of your tyres

Professional tyre regrooving is a sensible and economical option to prolong the life of your tyre. In fact, regrooving pays off twofold: firstly, because you can drive the tyre for longer, and secondly because the lower profile thickness reduces rolling resistance, which in turn reduces fuel consumption.

On top of that are the environmental benefits. A tyre that can go longer before being replaced saves valuable resources, the tyre must of course be labelled as regroovable in which to exploit this added potential fully without damaging the casing.

Using our premium hot retreading service ContiRe™, you give new life to your worn Continental truck tyre and realise the full economic performance of the tyre. ContiRe™ production is compatible to how we manufacture our new tyres – using the same profiles and compound mixtures. Exclusively we use Continental casings, which are retreaded from bead to bead. This method also renews the sidewalls, and the tyres remain regroovable.

To ensure a premium finish, every tyre is put through durability and safety tests in adherence to a standardised quality system. Consequently, every ContiRe™ tyre is covered by our warranty. All this coupled with outstanding mileage makes our ContiRe™ the best choice of retreadable tyre.

During hot retreading, the process of applying the tread material is virtually identical to the production of a new tyre.

The tread material is taken directly from the extruder and applied to the buffed casing. Afterwards the tread/casing assembly is cured in a vulcanisation mould with the required tread pattern. The pattern on the tread is formed during the vulcanisation process just as it is when a new tyre is made.

Our hot retreaded truck tyres are retreaded from bead to bead. The main advantage of this principle is that the sidewalls are renewed, ensuring that the quality of the hot retreaded tyre is comparable with that of a new tyre.
