One important lesson that we can learn from our past is that standing still is never an option. Keeping the future in motion is the long-term goal that motivates us to keep innovating. We work hard to uncover the mobility solutions of tomorrow, looking beyond tyres to usher in electric mobility, intelligent connectivity, and state-of-the-art information. Wherever the future takes you or your business, let’s go there together.
To keep our world moving, we all have to take action and invest in change today. Not only to benefit from staying competitive in the future, but above all to live on a healthier planet. That's why bringing down fuel consumption and thus CO₂ emissions is key. To combat climate change in line with the Paris Agreement, the first carbon dioxide emissions regulations for new heavy-duty vehicles (HDV) has been introduced. These will mean cutting average CO₂ emissions from new heavy-duty vehicles by 15% by 2025 and by 30% by 2030 compared to 2019/2020. To ensure there is a standardisation in measurement of CO₂ emissions across the industry, the European Commission has introduced a simulation tool called VECTO — short for Vehicle Energy Consumption Calculation Tool.
Vibrations in the steering wheel or free rolling steering wheels are clear indicators to the driver that the vehicle’s wheel alignment must be checked. However, small wheel misalignments often remain unnoticed. This results in unnecessary costs due to wear and tear of the tyres, damage to the casing and increased fuel consumption. This can be avoided with our VAI™ technology.
Using our premium hot retreading service ContiRe™, you give new life to your worn Continental truck tyre and realise the full economic performance of the tyre. ContiRe™ production is compatible to how we manufacture our new tyres – using the same profiles and compound mixtures. Exclusively we use Continental casings, which are retreaded from bead to bead. This method also renews the sidewalls, and the tyres remain regroovable.
To ensure a premium finish, every tyre is put through durability and safety tests in adherence to a standardised quality system. Consequently, every ContiRe™ tyre is covered by our warranty. All this coupled with outstanding mileage makes our ContiRe™ the best choice of retreadable tyre.
We at Continental are experts when it comes to tyres. But not only that! We are constantly working together with you to shape the future in transport, our digital solutions monitor the health of your tyres – so that you can focus on more important things. Our solutions are just as individual as your business and our team will find the right match for you.
Our ContiPressureCheck™ system constantly measures the pressure and temperature of all tyres on your vehicle - even when you are driving. This helps to save fuel and increase mileage. It also significantly reduces the risk of tyre failure, whilst maintaining the value of the casing, and thus the retreadability.
ContiConnect™ is our digital tyre monitoring platform for commercial fleets, now available in select markets worldwide. By digitalising your tyre monitoring activities with ContiConnect™, you can ensure increased uptime and lower maintenance costs as well as maximise fuel savings.
Sustainability is a theme that runs throughout our history. From developing carbon-neutral production processes to cutting emissions on the road, we are committed to looking after our planet. Today, we are already developing tyres made from dandelion and lowering fuel consumption and CO2 emissions through extensive material research and improved production processes, so just imagine what we could do tomorrow. Let’s work together to make mobility more sustainable.
Prior to fitting Continental’s ContiPressureCheck, Kane Group struggled to maximise the working life of its tyres. Damage was common and tyres were being removed from service prematurely. “Tyres, or more specifically dealing with tyre failures, is an expensive cost to the business and it’s an outgoing that traditionally has been hard to control,” Jordan admits. “In this line of work, it’s very easy to run an under-pressure tyre, but ContiPressureCheck has undoubtedly helped to remedy this issue.”

From the perfect tyre selection through to correct fitting, ongoing monitoring and reporting, fast response in the event of a tyre breakdown to the correct handling and disposal of worn tyres. That’s what we call an exclusive all-round service.
ContiAcademy regularly creates bespoke courses for a range of fleet operators, whether Continental customers or not, to drive knowledge around tyre fitter training to suit the individual need of these fitters, including the NTDA’s mandatory REACT safety training to increase efficiencies.
We also work with fleets who may not require tyre fitters on contract, but who need to train drivers or engineers in basic tyre husbandry such as understanding how to get limiting damage and premature removal and optimal maintenance. This is equally beneficial for operators of light commercial vehicle fleets as well as heavy duty vehicle fleets.
