The optimal answer for every requirement: Continental offers an extensive suite of tyres designed for manufacturing operations. The production of complete cars as well as the manufacture of engines, axles etc need special vehicles. The fleet consists not only of lift trucks but also of a variety of tugs and trailers for the transport of material.
The production takes place in factories that are often very large and with all kinds of floor surfaces, from finished to sealed and sometimes painted floors to rough concrete surfaces. Due to impacts from running over objects on the floor or running into dock plates or guards the tyres must have good cut and chunk resistance. At the same time the rolling resistance of Continental tyres is very low which reduces fuel consumption in either Electric or LPG operated Forklifts. Combined with low rolling resistance is low heat buildup. The cooler a tyres operates the longer it will last and is less prone to premature failure due to delaminating. This guarantees a long tread life of Continental tyres in the automotive Industry.
Furthermore Continental’s Clean compound offers non-marking performance to automotive industry operations. The tyre, due to being reinforced with silicates rather than carbon black will not leave black marks on the floor and keep the production clean.
ContiRV20 and ContiRT20
Our ContiRV20 and ContiRT20 offer extended life over a cross-ply tyre, improved driver comfort and greater protection against flat tyres. When used with the TSR system immediate flat tyres are eliminated. Another advantage of the Continental radials is the substantially reduced rolling resistance over a crossply tyre.
The Continental SC20 Energy+ offer exceptionally low rolling resistance and low heat buildup. This relates to extended tyre life and reduced costs per hour (More hours in between tyre changes and lower fuel consumption.)
SC20 Super Clean and Barum Clean
Continental’s SC20 Clean compound offers non-marking performance to automotive industry operations. The tyre, due to being reinforced with silicates rather than carbon black will not leave black marks on the floor. The clean compound also offers low rolling resistance and low heat build up.
The improved tyre construction of the SC20 Energy+ already provides an increase in mileage performance of up to 20%. The special design of the CSEasy can increase this by a further 20%, yielding 40% additional performance in certain sizes. With CSEasy your vehicle’s energy consumption is lowered by up to 12.8% due to its substantially reduced rolling resistance. The heat build up within the tyre is also lower due to the adapter’s affect on heat transference.
