Harbour Tyres

Tyre solutions for the Food Industry

Application_Food_Image_1

The food industry is the common name used to enclose food and beverage industries. It’s a large segment with a lot of applications: laboratory, factory and sometimes warehousing applications.

In addition there are outdoor and indoor applications depending on the industry and application in question. In production services, there are a lot of electric forklifts between 1400 and 1600kg used to move merchandise shift after shift. Forklifts are generally equipped with clean solid tyres. Floor conditions are very clean within hygiene- controlled areas with painted floors or tiled floors. In warehouses, depending on the size and activity of the company, there are many different types of forklifts in operation, including warehousing machines.

Optimised suspension means that fragile loads are carried safely and smoothly. Our clean tyre technologies ensure that your warehouse floor stays neat, and our non-marking tyres offer up to 50 percent less rolling resistant than the competition. Good traction is also very important because the lift trucks operate in a variety of applications: wet floors and freezer applications are very common conditions.

MC20 & MH20 standard compound

Due to the tyres natural rubber compound the MC20 and MH20 tyre offers exceptionally low rolling resistance and low heat buildup. This relates to extended tyre life and reduced costs per hour (more hours in between changes and lower fuel consumption).

SC20 Energy+ and SH12 standard compound

Due to the tyres natural rubber compound the SC20 Energy+ and SH12 offers exceptionally low rolling resistance and low heat buildup. This relates to extended tyre life and reduced costs per hour (more hours in between changes and lower fuel consumption).

SC20 and SH12 clean compound

Continental’s clean compound offers non-marking performance. The tyre is reinforced with silicates rather than carbon black and will not leave black marks on flooring. The SC20 and SH12 clean compound also offers low rolling resistance and low heat build up.

ContiRT20

Continental’s premium radial lines offer extended life over a cross-ply tyre, improved driver comfort and greater protection against flat tyres. When used with the TSR system immediate flat tyres are eliminated. Another advantage of the ContiRT20 is the substantially reduced rolling resistance over a cross-ply tyre.
